Geralt's primary concern in The Witcher 3 is to find Ciri and save her from the Wild Hunt that's after her. But no matter how much Geralt tries not to intervene with the affairs of others, he still ends up influencing their lives one way or another. His decisions are the most important ones in the game and they change everything.

That includes not only Ciri's fate and the identity of the future ruler of both the Continent and the Skellige isles, but also smaller fates. Geralt has the power to change the lives of other people for better or worse, which then leads to different epilogues for them.

10/10 Geralt And Triss Live In Kovir

Geralt and Triss

Triss is one of the two main romantic interests Geralt can have in the game - and he has to choose between her and Yennefer. If Geralt chooses to romance Triss, the player first needs to kiss her during the quest A Matter of Life and Death. What's even more important is to help Triss get the persecuted mages out of Novigrad in Now or Never. At the end of the quest, if Geralt tells Triss he loves her, she will stay with him. And if he refused Yennefer, Geralt and Triss will get their epilogue in which they live together, Triss works at the court as the king's advisor and Geralt takes on the occasional witcher contract to stay in shape.

9/10 Geralt And Yennefer Live In Peace

Geralt Pulls Yennefer in for a Kiss in the Witcher 3:Wild Hunt

Another option, romance-wise, is to end up with Yennefer. In order to achieve that, Geralt needs to help Yennefer with the quest The Last Wish. After they had defeated the djinn, Geralt needs to tell Yennefer he still loves her. If he does that and avoids romancing Triss, he and Yennefer will later find their peace and live together away from all the ruckus of politics and sorcery. They rarely get out of their beds before noon, like to take long baths and go on walks.

8/10 Geralt Keeps Working As A Witcher

Geralt Fighting Elementa

If Geralt decides he isn't ready to hang up his sword and settle down just yet, he can refuse both Yennefer and Triss instead of romancing one of them. He will also end up alone if he foolishly tries to romance both Yennefer and Triss - neither of them will be too happy about that. Geralt will then continue to work as a witcher, kill monsters for money, and hang out with his good friend Dandelion. In the end, the ending isn't necessarily bad since it gives Geralt times to focus on Ciri or his friends.

7/10 The Bloody Baron Dies

Bloody Baron

The Bloody Baron isn't the most sympathetic character in the game. He beats his wife and is an alcoholic. Despite that, he can make redemption in the end - or die. If Geralt chooses to let the Whispering Willock go free after he had talked to the Crones, the witches will punish Baron's wife Anna and curse her.

Geralt breaks the curse but Anna dies shortly afterward. And since the Baron loses both his wife and daughter, he then kills himself. This will also have a negative impact on Velen that will become even more destroyed by war.

6/10 The Bloody Baron Leaves

Bloody Baron

Another, slightly more optimistic fate of the Bloody Baron happens if Geralt kills the Whispering Willock. In that case, Anna will survive but lose her mind. The Baron will then take her to a healer with hopes that he will be able to help Anna. Both Baron and Anna survive in this case but their future fate is unclear. But at least Velen will enter into a phase of relative peace and prosperity.

5/10 Sarah Stays In Novigrad

Sarah Corinne

Sarah is the godling who haunts the house in Novigrad where Corinne Tilly works when Geralt finds her. If Geralt makes a deal with Sarah and promises to help her keep the house, Sarah will wake Corinne up from her nightmares without further protests. She and Corinne will later become friends and they will live together in the house.

4/10 Sarah Meets Johnny

Johnny Sarah

Geralt can also act much meaner toward Sarah - who just wants to play - and he can force her out of the house by using a plant that godlings hate.

Sarah will leave Novigrad and she'll meet Johnny, the godling who lives in Velen and who helped Geralt during his search for Ciri. Johnny and Sarah appear together on the Bald Mountain where Geralt and Ciri go to kill Imlerith, but Sarah, understandably, won't be too happy to see Geralt again.

3/10 Keira And Lambert Get Together Or She Dies

The sorceress Keira Metz can first have a brief romance with Geralt - but she won't end up with him. To make sure that Keira survives, Geralt needs to send her to Kaer Morhen during the quest For the Advancement of Learning. Keira will save the witcher Lambert's life during the battle against the Wild Hunt. They will then get together, travel side by side and Keira will also come up with a cure against the Catriona plague. On the other hand, if Geralt tells Keira she used him or lets her go to Radovid, she'll die. If she goes to Radovid, he ends up burning her at stake and that will later unlock the brief quest A Final Kindness.

2/10 Whoreson Junior Dies Or Lives

Whoreson Junior

Whoreson Junior is one of the least sympathetic characters in The Witcher 3. One of Novigrad's four criminal bosses, Whoreson tortures Geralt's friend Dudu and injures Ciri. Geralt then has the chance to either kill him or spare his life. If he kills him, the doppler Dudu will take on Junior's appearance and choose a much peaceful line of work. If Junior survives, he doesn't change for the better and continues to be just as awful as before.

1/10 The Mages Don't Have It Easy

Now or Never

Finally, there's also the case of the mages residing in Novigrad. Geralt has two seemingly simple choices there that will, nevertheless, have long-lasting consequences. If he helps the mages escape during the Now or Never quest, it can lead to Radovid dying and Nilfgaard winning the war. But it will also cause the witch hunter to start killing non-humans instead. And if Geralt ignores the quest, Radovid will win the war, mages will continue dying and Geralt won't be able to romance Triss should he choose to do so.
